R.L  Kenderson - Forbidden Heat

Wow this book was great! Enemies to Lovers my favorite kind of books!
This is my first time being introduced to this series but I can assure you it won't be the last. This book was really different from other shifter books and although there were other secondary characters involved, it just made this book more interesting.
I didn't want this book to end and I'm so impatient to get my hands on Forbidden Temptation (Book 3) because of that ending!

Wolf shifter Damien and future alpha of the wolf pack got himself into a messy situation. After rescuing Payton, daughter to the cat-shifter alpha, Damien ends up with a wounded cat whose family isn't going to be okay with the situation.
Stuck in a cabin with blazing passion between them, Payton and Damien can't resist each other for long. But with Damien's father being responsible for the kidnapping attempt and enemies playing the role of friends, this book was an action pack read based on betrayal, forgiveness and love.

There were many different situation going on in this book with each situation having it's own danger. What I liked most about this author's writing style is that you know who's going to be together in following books and it's written in a way that leaves you wanting more. It keeps you coming right back for more.

Jessalyn Jameson - Whiskey Burn

This book had my emotions going. From anger to happiness and everything in between. From the blurb we know that Tamryn has been in love with Jake, her deceased brother's best friend.

Jake was sooooo dense in this book and he was so frustrating. Just when you think that he would wake up and realise Tamryn has feelings for him, he turns around and does something extremely stupid.

Tamryn has always been in love with Jake and is tired of seeing him parading different women in front of her and sick of him treating her like a child because of a promise made to her brother.

Both characters made some unpleasant decisions that impacted their blooming relationship but it came together so perfectly in the end is was just amazing. This is a great romance story with sexual tension, heartbreak and of course a HEA. Amazing work from the author!!

Joanne Rock - His Accidental Heir

Cameron McNeill is a millionaire resort developer who goes undercover at the Carib Grand hotel to find out why his hotel is getting bad reviews. There he meets the irresistible Maresa Delphine, the hotel's concierge. He can't fight his attraction to her but her role in solving the hotel's problems is vital to it's success.

Maresa can't understand why she is attracted to the hotel's newest surly client but is determined to keep things between them strictly professional. When she unexpectedly becomes a single mother, she is shocked by how helpful and supportive Cam is.

While I enjoy books that is written and read smoothly, this book was just a little too smooth. They started with Cam keeping secrets and the expected fall-out wasn't there. I was waiting for the moment that would test their blooming relationship but surprisingly is wasnt there. Everything was just resolved a little too quickly in this book.

It was still an enjoyable romantic story though.

Susan Kearney - Shifter in Paradise

This book was completely different from the blurb and that wasn't really a good thing. I think if the blurb included some more information about the type of shifter Ari was or how they found their mates, I would've went into it was a completely different mind set. Instead I ended up just shaking my head at the drastic change in this story.

Ari Dillion was overjoyed when he discovered workaholic Samantha Bessinger was his mate. He then plotted to kidnapp her by crashing her plane onto a deserted Caribbean island. Samantha was skeptical about Ari and his shape-shifting abilities but slowly overcome her doubts. Samantha managed to find love with her shifter in paradise. This book wasn't a lengthy read but although it didn't click for me, you can check it out and some of you just may love it.

MJ Fields - Hammered

I loved LOVED this book. It was so well written and the characters were easy to fall in love with. Phoenix Star is working as a bartender where she meets Gage Falcon who's there for a hook-up date.

When Phoenix met Gage she disliked him on sight thinking he was a huge playboy jerk who used women.

Gage is this sexy hot alpha male going through some complicated family issues and doesn't want a relationship after the ex-wife from hell (in my opinion). When they learn that they're neighbors the attraction is impossible to deny and they start a hot steamy affair.

With family secrets that could destroy Gage and with his conflicting feelings towards Phoenix, Gage and Phoenix has to fight for their relationship and each other.

At first Phoenix came off as a bit judgmental to me an i wasn't too taken with her. Gage, I fell in love with from the start. His dirty talking was just soooo... yeahh. This book had alot of humour and sex mixed in and I couldn't get enough of this book. Totally recommending!

Julia Imari - Catching Lily

Posted on 4th June 2017

*** Received a reader's copy in exchange for a fair and honest review ***

From the blurb, I was expecting your usual small town everyday romance and was pleasantly surprised by the way the story changed and evolved. Julia is trying her best to own a successful boutique but it just seems like everything's stacked against her. She then meets Alan whom she is suspicious of from the start.
Alan has his own reason for being near Lily but cannot deny his attraction to her. With both of them equally stubborn, this story was interesting while also frustrating at times. Sometimes I felt Lily wasn't taking her issues seriously and she absolutely refused to ask for help which was frustrating to read.
With betrayal coming from almost every direction, Lily has to learn who she can trust or if she's making another error in judgement.

Lynette Hallberg - Moonlight, Motorcycles and Bad Boys

I loved everything about this book. Katie Sue and Reiner where high school sweethearts before Katie Sara mysteriously left to finish high school in a private school. With no contact from Katie Sara, Reiner is forced to move on with his life and career as a famous quarterback. Years later Katie Sara returns home to Paradox to bury her deceased father and is informed of Reiner's return to Paradox to take care of his niece until her parents return from the army.
Sparks flew the moment they were reunited but with Katie Sara keeping secrets and both of them being stubborn, this book was a funny and enjoyable read. I really had to wonder what Reiner was thinking getting involved with Gina but it just made this story more interesting wondering what they were going to do next. It also had some really emotional moments but everything came together perfectly!

Melissa Merit - Midnight Ryde

This book was a steamy hot read! Sara met Ryder out on a girl's night with her friends when he saved her from a rival Mc leader Tyler who wont take no for an answer. After fleeing together, they start up a steamy BDSM affair while trting to stay on step ahead of the cops and the rival Mc.

I'm sad to say I was expecting more from the characters. With Ryder being in an Mc himself, I was expecting him to come out 'guns blazing' against Tyler but instead he ends up fleeing multiple times. This story was also lacking that brotherhood which is associated with Mc books. Sara had some moments that also had me shaking my head one including her ridiculous deal with Tyler.

It was a pleasant read and although I didnt fully enjoy it, it could be different for you guys. So check it out!

Sheila Kell - His Return

This is my first book in this series but after reading this, I am definitely going to look for the others. This book was awesome and well written and I enjoyed every word of it. Although there were some times where this book had we shaking my head, I still really enjoyed it.

Emily has always been in love with her brother's best friend Jake. After a fateful night in his arms, her brother threw him out and she hasn't seen him since.

Fast forward four years and Jake returns to the woman he hasn't been able to forget about nor deny his feelings for. When he arrives he leans of the danger Emily faces and is determined to keep her safe. With pleasant surprises and a few sad monents this book was a really great read and totally sucked me in. I am recommending you guys try this book or do like me and try the whole series Lol

Anne L. Parks - Of Demons and Stones

This book was intense. While I did enjoy this book, there were monents were I honestly wanted to reach through my kindle and shake both of them. Kylie is an attorney who met billionaire Alex Stone by pure accident. Coincidentally, Alex comes to her firm for help with his nephew who had an issue with the law.

Their romance started from there and quickly went from 0 to 100. While I do like alpha male, Alex to me was a bit controlling and sometimes really stubborn. Kylie has her dangerous past chasing after her but sometimes has little to no regard for her own safety. With his meddling family thrown in things got really interesting.  Sometimes they were cute and sometimes they really pissed my off which i liked because I love to be totally engrossed in my books. Overall it was a nice and intense book.

Sam Crescent - Twice the Dirty

Posted on 22nd May 2017

So this book was a BBW/Biker/Menage romance book. I've personally always been a fan of Sam Crescent work and find them enjoyable. What I liked with this book was that although it was a short story, the information and writing made it seen like a full-length novel.

Skylar came to visit her sister Teri who is a part of the Dirty Fuckers Mc, but then decided to stay. Leo and Paul are best friends who have always shared women and knew they would end up in a menage relationship. Skylar has a difficult childhood and is self conscience about her body and her weight. Leo and Paul felt an instant attraction to Skylar and try to get her to open up to them. While love and passion bloom between them, this story also had other stories goin on but it didn't take my attention awsy from the leads.

My only disappointment with this book was the lack of Skylar's confrontation of her past. But overall it was a great read 😊

Elle Kennedy - Midnight Revenge

Posted on 20th May 2017

So I've read this book a while ago and decided to post a review about it. This book is book 7 in Elle Kennedy's Killer Instincts series and while i haven't read the others I did enjoy this book. What first attracted my attension to this book was the blurb. It reminded me of a Maya Banks KGI book so i decided to check it out.
Although the storyline was similar this book was really different from others I've read. The alpha in this story was a badass but was also hiding his own pain and demons, some of which are rarely associated with these types of badasses. Derek is part of an organization where he works as a mercenary as a member of an elite team. Sofia is a doctor who patched up his team-mate and the chemistry between them was off the charts. With a dangerous ongoing rescue mission and a major surprise that could tie them together forever Derek has to overcome his demons while making sure him and Sofia make it out alive.
This book was really touching and I was shocked to see an author who gave her characters such a deep vulnerability that you normally wouldn't get with those types of males. It gave this story more depth and made me fall in love with Derek knowing exactly how strong he is. I recommend you guys give it a try. Tell me what you think in the comments section

Leslie North - Healing the Quarterback

***Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review***

I've read some of Leslie North's work before and while this book wasn't a lengthy read it was actually enjoyable. Charlie to me was a bit spoilt while also extremely arrogant. He didnt really make a great first impressions to me at the beginning but slowly he growed on me.

He didnt really make a good first impression on Dylan either but they formed a friendship that progressed to more. With his hidden depths I really quite enjoyed learning more about them and their story. If u enjoy your alphas arrogant, sexy and funny this book is the perfect fit for you. Totally recommending!!

Suzanne Wright - Fierce Obsession

Suzanne wright you've done it again!! Normally the longer a series go, to me some authors starts to lose their touch and the writing style isn't the same but this book....... was fantastic!! I love this series; the characters are just plain awesome. The sense of family, care, humour  and love for each other is strong in this series which is something I greatly admire in a series. I've been waiting for Tao's book since the first book Feral Sins came out and I have to admit it was worth the wait.

So Riley came to the pack after there was an issue with a loner shelter. Loners aren't trusted so Tao received Riley with open dislike and distrust. After a drunken night they gave in to their attraction for each other and started a fling. When circumstances make Riley visit her old pack, enemies from her past threatens her and her old pack members. Add in new threats in the form of a drug dealer who won't take no for an answer and this book was an action packed romance with the perfect combination of humour and passion. Throughout most of this book I was smiling while reading because the banter between Riley and Tao was jus splendid. I sooo gonna recommend this book to everyone I know beacuse It's just that good.

To really enjoy this book and the characters  I recommend you guys read the whole series titled The Phoenix Pack and the spin-off series The Mercury Pack.

The expected publication date for this book is 13th  June 2017. I advise u put your orders in from now!

Lucy Monroe - Moon Craving

To me this book is just precious. Tarloc and Abigail's story actually introduced me to the world of romance books. I adore books based in the highlands with arranged marriages but this book has a shifter spin to it. This book is the second in Lucy Monroe's Children of the Moon series. In the first book Tarloc was ordered by his king to marry Emily, Abigail's sister but circumstances changed and Emily ended up mated and married to Tarloc' s rival clan leader. After a fever leaves Abigail deaf and out of favour with her mother Abigail  with her sister's help learned to read lips and hide her disability in fear of being labeled possessed. Her scheming mother Sybil then seeing an opportunity to rid herself of Abigail arranged for her to be married to Tarloc without Abigail's knowledge. With Abigail hoping to go live with her sister while trying to hide her disability from her husband's keep ended up falling in love with her husband. Battling her husband distrust of her and everything  English along with secrets, betrayals, enemies and love mixed in, this book was one of the most memorable book I have ever read. If you haven't read it yet I encourage you to try this series I promise you won't regret it 😊😏

Kevlar to my Vest - Lani Lynn Vale

I've read many many books over the years but I gotta admit there's something about Lani Lynn Vale that caught my attention from her first book and have held it ever since. Lani' s blend of humour mixed with love is completely unique and just keeps me coming back for more. I've decided to review my favourite book of the Dixie Warden Mc first with the rest to follow.
When we first met Viddy in Halligan to my Axe her dirtbag brother dropped her off somewhere and with Viddy being legally blind she was lost and out of her element. Here's where Trance comes in while helping to find her along with her sister and brother-in-law Kettle. Trance is a K9 officer and a member of the Dixie Warden Mc. As soon as Trance laid eyes on her you could practically see the moment in your mind where he fell for her. Viddy was actually engaged when they met so Trance had to wait and see what happened. When Viddy broke up with her fiance their relationship started to bloom beautifully. With an ex-fiance and a club groupie trying to break them up this biker romance was filled with humour through everything that they were going through. A visit to Vegas which ended in a drunken wedding, Viddy's vision improving, I can guarantee that if you guys read it you won't regret it.

My thoughts on Scandal of the Season by Liana LeFey

***Received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review***

At first I wasn't too sure what to think about this book but slowly it growed on me. Lord Sorin and Lady Eleanor's story begins with Lord Sorin fleeing England because of his feelings towards Lady Eleanor, who he has grown up with and has a really close friendship with her family. Upon his return he discovers his feelings towards Lady Eleanor is the same but tries to deny it. Lady Eleanor also denies her feelings towards him but is determined to find him a proper and suitable wife meanwhile Lord Sorin is trying to win her heart for himself. With unwanted suitors, double romances and fortune hunters mixed in this book was quite enjoyable and I would recommend it anyone looking for an enjoyable book.

Until Nico by Aurora Rose Reynolds

When I first started this series and was introduced to Nico, I admit I wanted to skip all the others and jump straight to his story. I had to force myself to complete the others and read it in order. I may or may not have rushed them lol. With his tattooed bad boy looks I fell in love and I fell hard. To top it off he was a bounty hunter, swear I fell into lust immediately.
So Nico's story begins with a misplaced cellphone and an arranged meeting to retrieve said cellphone, when bad boy Nico met his BOOM Sophie. Sophie is the destination of shy and inexperienced. Working at a library and her no-dating rule firmly in place Sophie stays in her shell. With a difficult childhood she finds it hard to trust so Nico had his work cut out for him. While fighting an unknown stalker and ghosts from Sophie's past they managed to build their unique love that the Mayson men are known for. This series was a great read which also continues with the next generation of Maysons and a spin-off series entitled Underground kings. If you're looking for a funny great read I suggest you try the Until series by Aurora Rose Reynolds.

My review of Sweet Southern Trouble

** ARC Provided  by the Author and NetGalley ***

This book really shocked me. When I opened the book I checked how many pages there was and it was more than 300 pages. What really shocked me was how easy this book was to read. The flow of this book was amazing, so amazing that I didn't know I was so far in  until it was finished. With a sexy coach and a buttoned up teacher this book was so enjoyable to read. With meddling socialites, jealous exes and matchmaking hunks it was funny and completely enjoyable. I totally recommend this book to anyone wanting an enjoyable read.

My book for today!

So normally I'm a binge reader. I'm trying this series today an I have to admit the book is off  to a great start. I guess we'll see how it goes.

This is what I'm reading today. What do you think about this book? 0aeda5a11c715c7f64b0540ff5d3678f1bf4c03fbf54943de3
